IGNITE THE FIRE! College-Young Adult Revival

“His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in. INDEED, I CANNOT!” Jeremiah 20:9

Like Jeremiah, we pray that the word of God IGNITES the fire within us to burn in our hearts and through our bones through this revival so that we will become a flaming beacon for Christ!

All are welcome to join us for this exciting “Revival Explosion” to pray, encourage and lift up the College Students & Young Adults in Delaware area!

With speaker Pastor Tae Chin from Grace Covenant Church and special music from AMP & DIM, this revival will surely be used by God to IGNITE the passion and the fire within our young people to be a light for Christ.

Welcome Party

Welcome party for the new members of DKUMC English Ministry was held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 7pm.
The evening began with the delicious dinner which included variety of exotic dishes ranging from Korean gourmet, Chinese cuisine and even freshly made pasta, prepared by the loving hands of our EM and KM members.

After the dinner, David Rhee, our praise leader, lead the praise with the song “Enough” written by Chris Tomlin, followed by opening prayer by our ever gracious and lovily Coreen. Then Jan Koninckx, our worship director, welcomed the new and incoming EM members and college students, along with warm words of support and encouragement.

The words of encouragement continued for the new members with a special song from the lovily voice of our former praise leader and now litergist, Kim Stock with the powerful song ”When I call on Jesus” which moved many of new members. The words of the chorus goes:

But when I call on Jesus, all things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When I call on Jesus, mountains are gonna fall
‘Cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call

and the bridge goes:

Call Him in the mornin’ in the afternoon time
Late in the evenin’ He’ll be there when your heart is broken
And you feel discouraged you can just remember that He said
He’ll be there

Praise Concert Night – “God is Able”

DKUMC English Ministry is hosting a Praise Concert Night entitled “God is Able” on Friday, August 19th, 2011 at 7pm.
The night will be filled with praise, prayer, music, dance, worship and God’s special message. We invite everyone to come, listen, praise, pray and worship with us as we glorify our Sovereign God who is able! Hallelujah!

JAMA 2011

JAMA or Jesus Awakening Movement for America was held at Pennsyvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsyvania from July 6th through July 9th, 2011. About 3,500 people, ranging from grade school students to elders and pastors were in attendence. Among them were our DKUMC group of 35 including 10 year old grade school students, youth group, college group, young adults, deacons and pastors.

The theme for this year’s JAMA was “Even now…” from the book of Joel 2:12 which says, “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
